The Prayer is a musical fusion of Desert Rose’s classical world music and ancient Sufi chanting. The album was released on 24 May 2008 and was the first sacred world music by Desert Rose featuring South Africa’s leading Arabic world music vocalist, Yusuf Ganief, combining ancient Sufi chanting within a classical world music context, offering music lovers sounds that they have never heard or experienced before.
