Afrikaburn 25’s Acid Train Finale | Live Set @ Why Not, South Africa, May ’25

Bouncy, outrageous and unapologetic.

What a day that was. The grand finale after the most beautifully intense experience in the desert, including a double-rainbow and a unique sunset. So many emotions concentrated in one single set, 1.5h of absolute madness, with everything still buzzing in our heads.

This is the live recording of the set I played on Wednesday night, at Camp Why Not. Like most of my sets, totally improvised and co-created by the crowd’s energy, but this was a different kind. Those who know the thoughts and feelings running through me at that moment, through the crowd, well, they just know.

Some points in the set are over-stimulating, some messy, and others simply epic. But all of them are real.

A million THANK YOU to everyone who made this happen. You know who you are, and I am so grateful for this core memory that I will forever carry.

Much love habibis,
Gilles
