A Kimberley artist is travelling to the Far East this week for a cultural exchange exhibition.

Phillip Matlhoko will exhibit his art in China as part of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo scheduled to start on June 12 in the Hunan province.

The event will feature works from artists across the African continent and the world.

Matlhoko says the exhibition is all about cultural exchange.

Matlhoko says, “You know trade between Africa and the Chinese is a very good thing. I want to show people my talent and this type of exhibition for me will go beyond African borders.”

Matlhoko adds, “It’s important for me to mingle and share ideas with artists from all over the world.”
