WSU students’ protest disrupts N2 traffic in Mthatha – SABC News
The Walter Sisulu University (WSU) students at the Nelson Mandela Drive campus have disrupted traffic on the N2 road in Mthatha, Eastern Cape, due to a protest.
The students have barricaded the road with burning tyres, preventing access to the campus.
It is not clear what the protest is about at this stage, however, it comes after the university manager, who is facing murder, attempted murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm, was granted R 10 000 bail by the Mthatha Magistrate’s Court.
There is a confrontation between students and police as they are trying to disperse them with rubber bullets.
