EFF Youth Command honours Mlungisi Madonsela ahead of Youth Day rally – SABC News
The Economic Freedom Fighters Youth Command (EFF Youth Command) has held a memorial service for the late Mlungisi Madonsela, a Durban University of Technology EFF activist who was fatally shot in 2019 after an altercation with private security guards, outside the Steve Biko campus.
The unveiling ceremony was held in Jozini, KwaZulu-Natal. This was ahead of Monday’s June 16th Youth Day rally to be held by the EFF, at the King Zwelithini Stadium.
Youth Command provincial convener, Manqoba Dlamini says, “Ofcourse, Mlungisi Madonsela remains a part of us, he remains a part of our history in the organisation as a soldier who never backed down, who fought injustice, who fought against inequality and fought against everything that seeks to liquidate our people to a state of nothingness. So, we are going there, on the 16th of June, to King Zwelithini Stadium, to ensure that all young people are taken into confidence by the Commander-in-Chief.”
“We are very clear as an organisation. We are still going to take up the matter with relevant authorities in terms of asking relevant questions in terms of why the case of Mlungisi Madonsela has not been resolved? As to why those who are perpetrators, who are murderers of Mlungisi Madonsela have not been brought to book,” adds Dlamini.
