Mokonyane calls for peaceful resolution in Israel-Iran war – SABC News
First Deputy Secretary-General of the African National Congress (ANC) Nomvula Mokonyane says it is crucial that a peaceful resolution is reached in the ongoing war between Israel and Iran.
Mokonyane was at the Colloquium on Progressive Internationalism in Freedom Park, Pretoria, where the ANC reflected on the relevance of the Freedom Charter in a global context.
She also talked about the importance of nations taking accountability for their actions.

Mokonyane says the dominance of one nation and projection of it being a superpower is something that nations must reflect on.
“This colloquial is also discussing the need for the reform of this multinational and multilateral platforms, so that they begin to have teeth and they begin to not actually be meant for those who are coming from underdeveloped nations and those that projects themselves as superpowers be absolved from being held accountable. We have proven to be correct. We remain consistent. Those who transgress must be held accountable,” says Mokonyane.
