Shivambu says many ready to join his potential new political party – SABC News
Former MK Party Secretary-General Floyd Shivambu says many people including supporters and members of some of the country’s renowned political parties have shown interest in joining his new party should he decide to form one.
Last week, Shivambu announced that he’s kicking off the consultation process on whether he should start a political party.
He says the response has been overwhelming.
Today we spoke to the people of South Africa via media and posed the following questions:
1. Is there a need for another political party in South Africa?
2. If yes, what should it be and what values and principles should it espouse?

Earlier this month, the uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) leadership decided to redeploy its former Secretary- General (SG) Shivambu to Parliament.
