The N1 in Pretoria at the Stormvoel Road off-ramp has been completely closed to traffic.

This comes as a truck has lost its load on the highway.

Motorists are urged to use alternative routes.

Emergency services are on the scene.

Tshwane Metro Police Spokesperson Isaac Mahamba says there are no injuries, but the road will take hours to clear.

Mahamba says, “Please take note, full road closure between Zambezi and Stormvoel Road due to a jackknifed truck that lost its load. Recovery is expected to take two to three hours. Motorists are urged to avoid and use alternative routes.”
