South African schools rugby resumes on Saturday with unbeaten Paarl Gim hosting Wynberg, and SACS facing a tough test on the road against Paarl Boys’.

Gimmies have won all 15 of their matches this season and will regard this fixture as ideal preparation for the Paarl derby at Faure Street Stadium on 2 August. However, Wynberg will be fired up to cause a major upset, having won the first round of their southern suburbs fixtures against Bishops, Rondebosch and SACS.

Boishaai have won 14 of their 15 matches this year, with their only defeat coming against Oakdale in April (28-26), and will be looking to shake off any rust ahead of their showdown with Gimmies.

In other King Price Derby Series clashes, Grey High and Framesby reignite their Eastern Cape rivalry, while Pretoria Boys’ host Joburg heavyweights KES.

In the Noordvaal Cup, log-leading Garsfontein host Monument. Garsies are chasing a third consecutive title, with the final scheduled for 30 August.

Gauteng will also host two interprovincial battles, with Affies taking on Maritzburg College and Jeppe welcoming DHS.
