Five cash-in-transit robbers killed in dramatic shootout with Gauteng police



Five suspected cash-in-transit robbers have been shot dead during a shootout with Gauteng police in Crown Mine, Johannesburg.

Provincial police spokesperson, Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, said the incident occurred on Thursday afternoon.

A number of firearms were recovered.

Gauteng Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni, is expected to address the media at the crime scene.
