Valetini out, White starts final Test
Taniela Tupou will make his long-awaited return for the Wallabies in the third and final Test against the British & Irish Lions, while veteran scrumhalf Nic White will sign off with a final start in Sydney.
White, who announced his retirement from international rugby on Thursday, will earn his 73rd and final cap at Accor Stadium on Saturday. The 35-year-old partners Tom Lynagh at halfback, with Joe Suaalii and Len Ikitau retained in midfield for a sixth consecutive Test.

Tupou replaces the injured Allan Alaalatoa in the front row, packing down with hooker David Porecki and James Slipper, who will earn his 147th Test cap.
Tom Hooper comes into the starting lineup at blindside flank, with Rob Valetini being managed. He joins Fraser McReight and captain Harry Wilson in the loose trio.
Dylan Pietsch replaces Harry Potter on the left wing and will wear the special edition Wallabies jersey he designed for the Lions Series. Max Jorgensen starts his first Test in his hometown at fullback, with Tom Wright on the right wing.
On the bench, Billy Pollard, Angus Bell and Zane Nonggorr cover the front row, while Jeremy Williams and Langi Gleeson provide lock and loose forward depth. The backline reinforcements are Tate McDermott, Ben Donaldson, and Andrew Kellaway.
“The squad was certainly deflated after the gut-wrenching end to last week’s Test,” said head coach Joe Schmidt.
“But they’ve started to gather momentum again and will be ready to go on Saturday.”
