Operation Basadi has brought together female officers from across the Mother City. It started with a parade and briefing before teams conducted searches at school and mounted roadblocks.
Police spokesperson, FC van Wyk, says the members arrested a drunk driver, an unlicensed scrap dealer, and suspects in possession of a stolen vehicle and an illegal firearm.
Van Wyk says traffic fines worth nearly R23000 were also issued.
