Palestinian protestors in court for Cape Union Mart demonstrations – SABC News
At least four Palestinian protestors are expected to appear in the Western Cape High Court today.
This comes after they protested outside Cape Union Mart stores.
They claim the Cape Union Mart Group of Companies’ Executive Chairperson Philip Krawitz is a supporter of Israel.
Palestine Solidarity Campaign’s Coordinator Prof Usuf Chikte says, “This legal attack is a blatant act of Zionist lawfare, an attempt to bully us and to silence those who dare to protest genocide and apartheid.”
Chikte says, “Krawitz seeks to block our constitutionally protected right to call for the boycott of persons complicit in the atrocities being carried out in Gaza, where Israel is starving people to death.”- Reporting by Lerato Dlalisa.
