The Barbarians have confirmed a mouthwatering clash against an All Blacks XV in London this November – a fixture steeped in tradition, history and flair.

The famous black-and-white hooped jersey will return to the English capital on Saturday, 1 November, at Brentford FC’s Gtech Community Stadium.

The Barbarians have enjoyed recent success in London, with wins over Fiji (2024) and a World XV (2023) at Twickenham, as well as a thrilling 35-31 victory over the All Blacks XV in 2022 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

“The Barbarians and the All Blacks XV are two of the most iconic names in rugby,” said BaaBaas president John Spencer.

“Fixtures between us stretch back over 70 years and include the greatest try of all time by Gareth Edwards in 1973. This will be another classic.”

This year’s match is only the second-ever meeting between the Barbarians and the All Blacks XV, who have quickly established themselves as New Zealand’s elite development team. Their unbeaten northern hemisphere tour in 2023 included victories over Munster, Georgia, and Japan.

“There’s history between the Barbarians and the All Blacks XV,” said Chris Lendrum, NZ Rugby’s GM of Professional Rugby and Performance.

“These games are vital in preparing our next tier of Test players for what lies ahead in 2026 and 2027.”

Over the decades, 173 Kiwi players have pulled on the Barbarians jersey – among them legends like Jonah Lomu, Richie McCaw, Carlos Spencer, and Sam Cane. That tradition is set to continue this November.
