Mokopane N1 becomes hazardous conditions after sudden storm – SABC News
Limpopo Transport department says heavy rain and hail are causing hazardous conditions on the N1 outside Mokopane.
Department spokesperson Tidimalo Chuene says they have deployed the traffic officers and emergency services personnel to monitor the situation.
“Heavy rain and hail are causing hazardous conditions on the N1 South outside Mokopane, leading to cars pulling off the road. Traffic officers are monitoring the situation, and emergency services are on standby. Motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution due to slippery roads and they are also advised to reduce speed and maintain a safe following distance. Motorists are also advised to activate headlights for improved visibility.”
