Bok U18s ring the changes for Ireland, Georgia clashes
The two South Africa U18 squads have been given a fresh look for their second-round fixtures in the U18 International Series at Boland Landbou on Tuesday.
The SA U18 ‘A’ side will kick off the action against Georgia at 11.30am, followed by SA U18 taking on Ireland at 1.30pm. The day’s programme wraps up with a clash between England and France at 3.30pm.
REPORT: SA U18 overpower French
Head coach Lwazi Zangqa has made 11 changes to his SA U18 team that comfortably beat France in their opener. Only four players keep their places – vice-captain AJ Meyer (lock), No 8 Gert Kemp, skipper Markus Muller (outside centre) and fullback Zekhethelo Siyaya.

Zangqa said the sweeping changes are part of a broader plan to meet their objectives and give every player a shot on the international stage.
“We are looking forward to the fixture against Ireland, whom we believe will be a highly motivated and confident opponent,” he said. Ireland edged the SA U18 ‘A’ team in a tight battle on Friday.
On the ‘A’ side of the draw, coach Flash Malinga has kept just five starters from their narrow defeat to Ireland – vice-captain Migael Turner (lock), flanker Liam Lightly, No 8 Quintin Potgieter, captain Jeandre Uithaler (flyhalf) and wing Ncutu Kepe.
Malinga’s charges face a Georgian outfit brimming with confidence after their thrilling 35-31 win over England. “We know what’s coming from Georgia,” Malinga said. “They are hard and physical, but we will be looking to showcase our own style as much as we prepare to match their physicality.”
