A 32-year-old Eldorado Park father accused of assaulting and raping his four-year-old daughter will appear in the Protea Magistrate’s Court in Soweto on Tuesday.

The man appeared in the same court briefly on Friday. He faces charges of murder, attempted murder, and rape.

The accused allegedly physically assaulted the girl and her two-year-old brother.

The little girl has since succumbed to injuries.

During the father’s arrest on Wednesday, the little girl was found by police on the bed with head injuries, bruises and a swollen eye.

Both her parents were arrested and appeared in the Protea Magistrates’ Court.
