After 28 years, the Stormers logo has received a facelift.

The Cape side revealed a brand new identity on Wednesday that they hope will inspire its success going into European rugby’s biggest tournaments. Gone is the “S’ with the lightning bolt down the middle, the new logo is a nod to the blue & white hoops and the Cape Town Stadium, with the lightning bolt retained but in a much more understated way.

Having already won the inaugural Vodacom United Rugby Championship, the Stormers have set their sights on becoming consistent contenders for both the URC and the Investec Champions Cup titles.
