Immigrants’ group calls on SAROF to disclose sources of funding – SABC News
Anti-illegal immigrants’ group – March And March – has called on the Southern Africa Refugee Organisations Forum (SAROF) to disclose its sources of funding. The group accused SAROF of terrorism and plotting to make South Africa ungovernable.
The Durban High Court struck off the roll an urgent application brought by the SAROF against government ministers, related to the ongoing blockade of public healthcare facilities targeting illegal foreign nationals. March And March Legal Adviser, Xolani Zuma described the forum’s application as an abuse of the court process.
Zuma added, “If they had issues with members of the March And March movement trying to protect and vindicate the rights of the innocent citizens of this country, they would have gone to open a case with the police. No case has been opened with the police. They had actually taken wrong respondents to court. So, it was in fact misplaced and an abuse of court process and must actually be condemned.
We don’t know today how many mercenaries we have in our country. We don’t know how many people training in our country are to overthrow this government and take over. And this is a cause for concern because these people are not here because they are running away from their countries because there’s a war. They are coming here to abuse our system.”
