Sexual abuse allegations against Limpopo principal concerns SGB Federation – SABC News
The School Governing Body Federation in Limpopo has expressed concerns after a principal was accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old learner at a school outside Lebowakgomo.
The accused has been charged with sexual assault during his appearance at the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
He was granted bail of R3 000. The matter was postponed to the 20th of October for further investigation.
SGB Federation’s convener Derick Mosoana says child protection measures should be strengthened.
“We are not shocked by the outcomes of the court because we are a nation at war with women and children, the awarding of the bail does not come with a shock however as the SGB Federation, we continue with education stakeholders to strengthening child protection measures and create awareness.”
