The Minister of Electricity and Energy, Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa has announced the formation of a dedicated energy technical working group.

The group is aimed at assisting the Matjhabeng Municipality in the Free State to strengthen its electricity infrastructure and capacity.

Ramokgopa says this initiative forms part of government’s broader efforts to enhance service delivery and ensure energy security.

He says it will also support municipalities in overcoming ongoing electricity supply challenges as well as mounting debt to power utility Eskom.
