Sibiya’s counsel wants full bench of the court to preside over case – SABC News


SAPS Deputy National Commissioner for Crime Detection Shadrack Sibiya’s court case in the Pretoria High Court will no longer be heard on Tuesday.  

This as his counsel has requested a special allocation on the matter and a full bench to preside over the case. 

Sibiya who was placed on leave of absence by National Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola’s turned to the High Court to invalidate his decision to place him on leave of absence.

Speaking to the media outside Pretoria High Court, Sibiya says that his suspension is a breach of his contract employment.  

 “As per regulations, as per what the Constitution dictates. So, even if you feel that maybe, perhaps, I could be involved in something, there are processes, there are laws to be followed, you don’t just act nilly-willy.”
