One person has won the R41million Lotto jackpot, this is where they bought their ticket

One person has bagged a whopping R41million in the Lotto jackpot from Wednesday night’s draw.

The National Lottery Ithuba said the winning ticket was purchased via the Capitec banking app.

The person spent R30 on their ticket and used a manual selection for numbers.

Ithuba said participants who play via banking platforms are notified of their winnings directly by their respective bank.

“While the winner’s location remains unknown to Ithuba at this stage, we anticipate that they will soon reach out to one of our local Ithuba offices to begin the secure claims process.”

Ithuba CEO Charmaine Mabuza in congratulating the latest winner, said: “This is a reminder that every ticket purchased has an equal chance of winning, whether bought in-store or through digital platforms. Integrity, independence, and fairness remain at the heart of every National Lottery draw.”

Ithuba said as digital participation grows, with over 60% of tickets now bought via banking platforms, it is important for players to note that the National Lottery is available on eight banking partners: Absa, Nedbank, FNB, Capitec, Old Mutual, TymeBank, Standard Bank, and African Bank.

Players have 365 days from the date of draw to claim their prize.
