Diesel set for 55-cents per litre decrease, marginal for petrol – SABC News
Motorists are expected to get some reprieve when the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy announces the September fuel price adjustments before they take effect on Wednesday next week.
The Central Energy Fund’s preliminary data shows a possible four-cent drop for a litre of 95-grade petrol, while 93-grade is expected to decrease by 12-cents per litre.
The price of diesel is expected to decline by 55-cents per litre and paraffin by 37 cents per litre.
The decreases in fuel prices are largely due to a stable rand-dollar exchange rate and lower international oil prices.
This follows the August decrease in petrol that saw both grades of petrol going down by 28-cents.
