MEC Matome Chiloane hosts Technical Skills Festival in Johannesburg – SABC News
Gauteng Education MEC Matome Chiloane will today host a Technical Skills Festival at the John Orr Engineering School of Specialisation in Milpark, Johannesburg.
Learners will showcase the skills they gained through the department’s development programme.
The aim of the Multi-Certification Skills Programme is to strengthen the economy.
The department’s spokesperson Steve Mabona says, “Now this is where learners will be showcasing skills which were gained through the programme, this programme equips learners with skills to drive innovation boost productivity, and strengthen South Africa’s economy through manufacturing, technology, and engineering skills. Now this is the education we are talking about where learners are taught what is happening in our economy.”
