Three children killed in Limpopo house fire – SABC News
Three children aged between two and four have tragically lost their lives after a fire broke out in a one-roomed house at Itsani village in Limpopo.
Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba says firefighters found the children burnt beyond recognition after putting out the blaze.
Ledwaba adds that the cause of the fire remains unknown at this stage and details will be released following further investigations.
The children were last seen playing near the house shortly before it caught fire.
“It is not clear how the children ended up inside the house. Experts will be summoned to assist with investigations. Police should investigate the possibility of charging of parents or guardians of these kids with negligence or failure to take care of minors,” Ledwaba says.
