Two suspects in livestock theft nabbed in KZN midlands – SABC News
Four people have been arrested at a roadblock near Bulwer in the KwaZulu-Natal midlands.
Two of the suspects face charges of corruption after attempting to bribe officers.
The other two were found in possession of 51 suspected stolen goats.
Provincial police spokesperson Thenjiwe Ngcobo says the two individuals arrived at Bulwer Police Station and offered R5 000 bribery to the Station Commander in order to release them, the 51 goats, as well as the vehicle.
“The Station Commander refused the offer and in turn arrested both suspects aged 38 and 47 years old for bribery and corruption. All four arrested suspects will appear at the Bulwer Magistrate’s Court on Monday,” says Ngcobo.
