The investigating officer, Vaughn Peterson says they are making progress in the matter.
Probe into Highgate Hotel attack resumes in East London
The Special Tribunal inquest will continue in the East London High Court tomorrow (02 September).
A former resident of East London, who was one of the first people to attend to the scene, testified today. Mark Bush detailed to the court the horrific scene he encountered as he attempted to assist the wounded.
He administered first aid to the wounded. One of the patrons who survived the tragedy, Karl Webber, says he remains grateful for the assistance he received.
“It’s very emotional to know what he went through, what he had been going through at the time he came into the bar to save our lives. I can remember clearly lying at the ladies’ bar with nobody around to help us at that time. The first person I recognised in the scene was Bush, and I think if he wasn’t there to save my life and Neville’s life I don’t think we would be here today.”
