Chief Justice hosts J20 Summit ahead of the G20 – SABC News
Chief Justice Mandisa Maya will host the Constitutional Courts and Supreme Courts Summit, which kicks off on Wednesday at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg.
The J20, as it is also colloquially known, forms part of the lead-up activities to the G20 2025 Summit to be hosted by South Africa in November.
The meeting provides an opportunity for international judicial bodies to exchange ideas.
The J20 meeting was first established in 2018 as a resolution of the 2017 G20 meeting held in Hamburg, Germany.
It seeks to recommit members to the global justice project.
The South African Judiciary today receives the world’s judiciaries for the 2025 J20 Summit. The gathering is held under the theme “Justice in a Time of Change: Independence, Innovation and Co-operation”. Visit https://t.co/6WxOoI8Chz for more information.#J20SouthAfrica… pic.twitter.com/ftqYCWwJWO
