Russia’s overnight attack on Kyiv claims three lives – SABC News


Ukrainian officials have confirmed an overnight attack by Russia on Kyiv that claimed the lives of three people, including an infant. The attack also set scores of buildings on fire in the capital, including the government building.

Since last night, work has been ongoing to eliminate the consequences of Russian strikes – more than 800 drones, 13 missiles, including 4 ballistic. According to preliminary information, several drones crossed the border of Ukraine and Belarus.

Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko sent a communication on the Telegram messaging app saying, “For the first time, the Government building was damaged by an enemy strike on its roof and upper floors.”

Meanwhile, the commander of Ukraine’s drone forces, Robert Brovdi, confirmed an attack on the Druzhba oil pipeline in Russia’s Bryansk region, inflicting “comprehensive fire damage.”
