President Cyril Ramaphosa will participate in a two-state solution conference on Monday in relation to the Palestinian question. This comes as Britain, Australia and Canada decide to recognise a Palestinian state.

Ramaphosa will also attend the General Debate on Tuesday.

President Ramaphosa left South Africa on Sunday ahead of engagements Monday that include the pivotal two-state solution conference and a reception with African heads of state.

The General Debate is a key focal point on Tuesday followed by a meeting at the council on Foreign Relations and then a host country reception.

Wednesday sees Ramaphosa participate in a summit on a sustainable and resilient global economy, an event on the Global Leaders Network on Women’s Children’s and Adolescents’ Health, a special event on Climate Action followed by bilateral engagements with US business and a trade and investment dialogue.

Ahead of his departure on Thursday, he’s expected to participate in a G20 Foreign Ministers meeting on the margins of UNGA.
