Three members of Griquas’ Currie Cup-winning squad are set to train with the Stormers as part of an agreement with the Cape franchise.
Winger Dylan Maart, fullback Gurshwin Wehr and scrumhalf Caleb Abrahams will get to experience a Vodacom URC set-up, but have not signed loan deals.

Stormers assistant coach Dawie Snyman joked on Monday that it may take a few days yet before they arrive in Cape Town.
“Hopefully they make it here! I’m not sure where they are with the celebrations, but ja, it’s great. Well done to Griquas – they were consistent over the whole season, in fact over the last two or three seasons.
“For those players to get a shot at the URC is amazing. Once again, congratulations to everyone who really worked hard behind the scenes and hopefully we can reward some of their players who have put up their hands and really performed well.”
The Stormers kick off their campaign against Leinster in Cape Town on Friday night.
