Double Lotto luck: Players scoop R18 million jackpot and R8 million Lotto Plus Win
Ithuba, the operator of the National Lottery, has confirmed that two players became multi-millionaires during Draw 2578, held on Saturday.
The first individual, who played via the ABSA banking app, placed a wager of R50 using the Quick Pick selection method. To their astonishment, they walked away with a staggering Lotto jackpot exceeding R18 million.
The second winner, embracing a more traditional approach, purchased their ticket at a retailer in Westville, KwaZulu-Natal. With a wager of R30 and a manual selection method, this participant claimed the Lotto Plus 2 jackpot, which stands at an impressive R8 million.

Celebrating the significant wins, Ithuba’s CEO, Charmaine Mabuza, expressed her joy, saying: “Congratulations to both jackpot winners.
