Check your Powerball tickets, someone in KwaZulu-Natal is R69million richer. 

According to National Lottery Ithuba, the draw was won on September 23, 2025. 

The winning ticket was purchased at a retail store in Empangeni, KwaZulu-Natal. 

The winner spent R45 on the ticket and opted to select the numbers manually.

The exact win is R69,284,942.70.

Ithuba CEO Charmaine Mabuza said they were delighted to welcome another multimillionaire into the National Lottery family.

“This win reflects our continued commitment to creating more winners more often, while ensuring that high-tier winners receive both trauma counselling and extensive financial advice to help them adjust to their new reality.”

Ithuba urged all in-store participants from Empangeni to check their tickets without delay.

The winner must report to the nearest Ithuba office with the following

– The original winning ticket with their name and ID number written on the back•

-A valid proof of identity

-Proof of banking details

-Proof of residence

Winners are reminded that National Lottery prizes must be claimed within 365 days of the draw.
