Tributes pour in for Evangelist and theologian, Voddie Baucham Jr



Tributes are pouring in for evangelist and theologian, Voddie Baucham Jr who passed away after suffering an emergency medical incident. He was 56-years-old.

“We are saddened to inform friends that our dear brother, Voddie Baucham, Jr., has left the land of the dying and entered the land of the living. Earlier today, after suffering an emergency medical incident, he entered into his rest and the immediate presence of the Savior whom he loved, trusted, and served since he was converted as a college student,” read the confirmation statement from Voddie Baucham Ministries.

“Please pray for Bridget, their children, and grandchildren,” it added.

According to his website, Baucham, born in California, was also a professor and author. He was also a founding faculty member of the Institute of Public Theology.

The family lived in Lusaka, Zambia since 2015.

“Another faithful warrior has fallen. Another saint called home. I wanted him here longer. But the Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Grateful for the victory of this Gospel in the life of my brother Voddie Baucham,” shared Mike Riccardi, Pastor of Local Outreach Ministries at Grace Community Church.
