Mthethwa family seeks cooperation between SA, French police – SABC News
The late South African Ambassador to France, Nathi Mthethwa‘s brother-in-law, Khulekani Buthelezi, believes that cooperation between the two countries’ law enforcement officials will provide the answers the bereaved family is seeking.
Mthethwa died last week at the age of 58 after falling from the 22nd floor of a hotel in France.
Buthelezi was speaking at Mthethwa’s home in Kwambonambi, where mourners have been paying their respects.
“Yes, we do, and I think combining different groups and skills to achieve a certain outcome, in this case, will result in a report that provides facts about what transpired. We would like to thank the government for this initiative, and we understand that the investigative team has traveled to France to collaborate with French investigators. We hope that, with a team of diverse skills, the outcome will be as expected: the truth, nothing more.”
