Cape Cableway anticipates 33 millionth visitor amid 96th birthday – SABC News

The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company is anticipating a significant milestone, with the 33 millionth visitor soon to be welcomed to the mountain.

Managing Director Wahida Parker says while they are celebrating the Cableway’s 96th birthday this October, it also marks the company’s unofficial start to the end-of-year festive season, in Cape Town.

Cape Town Tourism is expecting another record-breaking festive season, with an influx of hundreds of thousands of local and international tourists to the Mother City.

The Cableway Company has extended a special invitation to locals to celebrate its 96th birthday, ahead of the summer rush.

Parker says they have launched a special as a token of appreciation.

She adds that South Africans can enjoy significantly discounted return tickets to the summit for October.

“Come and celebrate with us, it’s our birthday month. We’ve got special offers for all locals and South Africans whilst we are busy preparing for a block buster season. Look forward to seeing all of you and leaving you with the most beautiful memories of your visit,” adds Parker.
