Joburg motorists urged to exercise caution amid heavy rains – SABC News
The City of Johannesburg Emergency Management Services (EMS) has advised motorists to exercise extreme caution on the roads due to heavy rains.
EMS spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi has warned drivers to be extra vigilant, maintain a safe following distance and to avoid flooded roads and low-lying bridges.
“From our side as the City of Johannesburg Emergency Management Services, we remain on high alert overnight monitoring all seven regions of the city together with our aquatic rescue unit which is a specialised team which responds to water related issues.”
