Man wanted for murder of IFP member fatally shot by police – SABC News
Police say a man wanted for the murder of IFP Member of Parliament Khethamabala Sithole was shot and killed in Duduza, in Ekurhuleni in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Zamani Ximba was also wanted for the attempted murder of two other people.
Police received information that Ximba was hiding at a house in Duduza.
Ximba allegedly pointed a firearm at police who then fatally shot him. Two other suspects are currently behind bars in connection with Sithole’s murder.
Gauteng police spokesperson Mavela Masondo elaborates.
“Zamani Ximba, who was identified as the third suspect was issued with a warrant of arrest. He has been on run until the police discovered his hiding place in Duduza. The Independent Police Investigative Directorate has been informed of the incident.”
