Police stage search and seizure operation at Shadrack Sibiya’s house – SABC News

Police investigators were at the home of suspended Deputy National Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya in Centurion, south of Pretoria.

This follows allegations of his imminent arrest after he was implicated in both the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry and Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee inquiry into police corruption.

However, South African Police Service (SAPS) has denied this.

There were earlier reports suggesting that there would be an arrest that would take place but there has not been any certainty of what is happening at this particular stage.

However, a laptop and several cellphones were seized from his premises.

Sibiya also said that he will appear at the Ad Hoc Committee probing allegations by KZN Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.
