Mthethwa’s body arrives at family homestead – SABC News
The body of the late Ambassador to France Nathi Mthethwa has arrived at his homestead in KwaMbonambi in KwaZulu-Natal.
Family elders earlier performed rituals, which involve the cleansing of his body.
This follows reports that his death was not natural, with suspicions of a suicide.
Mthethwa died after falling from the 22nd floor of a Paris hotel last month.
He will be buried in a Special Official Funeral on Sunday, where President Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver the eulogy.
KZN African National Congress (ANC) Co-convener Mike Mabuyakhulu says Mthethwa will be fondly remembered for his commitment to the service of his people.
