Case against four alleged kidnappers in Tshwane postponed – SABC News
The case against four men accused of multiple crimes, including kidnapping, has been postponed to next Monday to allow the state to verify whether the accused have any previous convictions.
The men have made a brief appearance behind closed doors at the Tshwane North Magistrate’s Court.
This follows their arrest on Friday after police stopped and searched their vehicle on the R80 Mabopane Highway.
Officers discovered a handcuffed man with his face covered, along with dozens of rounds of live ammunition and T-shirts bearing police emblems inside the vehicle.

National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) regional spokesperson Lumka Mahanjana says more charges have been added.
“It appeared in camera, because the state is still gonna do an identity parade. The four accused are facing a charge of possession of an automatic firearm, possession of ammunition, kidnapping, fraud and robbery with aggravating circumstances.”
“On the 20th of October, if the identity parade has been conducted, the media will be allowed in; however, if the identity parade is still not done, the matter will still appear on camera.”
