Johannesburg Executive Mayor Dada Morero will on Tuesday lead what he calls a high-impact by-law enforcement operation in the Inner City.

The operation, starting at 8am from the Joburg Art Gallery, is part of the City’s Inner-City Revitalisation Project, which aims to restore law and order, improve infrastructure and tackle urban decay.

The initiative will see several government departments; including the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department, City Power, Johannesburg Water, and Home Affairs working alongside the Mayor and Members of the Mayoral Committee.

In late July, Morero lead a joint operation focused on enforcing by-laws and dismantling illegal informal settlements in designated areas of the northern Johannesburg.
