The trial of alleged organised crime boss and murder-accused Nafiz Modack and his co-accused is expected to continue in the Western Cape High court on Tuesday.

Modack is on trial on a slew of charges including the murder of anti-gang unit detective Charl Kinnear in September 2020.

Kinnear was probing Modack and senior police officers at the time of his murder.

Modack was recently sentenced to an effective seven-year imprisonment, after being found guilty in the Cape Town Regional Court of paying senior police officer Brigadier Kolindren Govender for favours.
