Prophet Muritho’s rape case postponed to November in Limpopo – SABC News


The rape case against a 40-year-old self-proclaimed prophet accused of raping a 14-year-old girl has been postponed to the 13th of November at the Thohoyandou Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo.

Phathutshedzo Sikhuba, known as Prophet Muritho, was arrested three months ago for the alleged rape at his church in Sibasa, outside Thohoyandou.

The matter has been postponed for submission of the docket to the Director of Public Prosecutions for a decision.

Sikhuba is accused of raping the teenager in the office of his church on the 9th of July this year.

He is facing another trial in the Cape Town Regional Court, where he allegedly raped a 26-year-old woman in Cape Town. He will appear on Friday for that case.

Meanwhile, a 26-year-old woman, who was supposed to testify in the Cape Town rape case, was gunned down over the weekend at Thengwe, outside Thohoyandou.
