Accused number one in the Senzo Meyiwa trial, Muzi Sibiya says he still has scars from the tight handcuffs and alleged assault following his arrest in May 2020.
Sibiya is the first witness to be called by the defence to testify at the murder trial underway at the High Court in Pretoria.
Five men are on trial for the 2014 murder of the Bafana Bafana captain.
Sibiya says he was assaulted and his wrists were bleeding before signing a confession statement he is said to have made to Colonel Nhlanganyelwa Mbotho at the Diepkloof Police Station.
