Preliminary report into KZN plane crashes to be released in 30 days – SABC News
The Aeronautical Rescue Co-ordination Centre (ARCC) says a preliminary report into the cause of two plane crashes in KwaZulu-Natal will be released in 30 days’ time.
An investigation is under way into the causes of the crashes.
The ARCC has confirmed that both pilots have been killed, and aircraft located.
Chief of Operations, Gregory Critchley, says the South African Civil Aviation Authority and the police are conducting the investigation.
“ The first aircraft was located yesterday evening and the accident investigation division from the South African Civil Aviation Authority is arriving on the scene now. They are going to be conducting and commencing with the operation into the cause of the accident. This is in conjunction with the SAPS. So, this is what will take place from this stage going forward, the accident investigators as well as the SAPS will investigate the causes of both accidents and they will release a preliminary report within the next 30 days.”
