Hillary Gardee murder trial postponed to October 28 – SABC News
The Mpumalanga Division of the High Court sitting in Mbombela has again adjourned the trial to 28 October of the suspect accused of killing Hillary Gardee – daughter of Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF)’ Deputy President Godrich Gardee.
The aim of the postponement is to give the accused Rassie Nkune time to get a new legal representative.
The suspect dismissed his lawyer on Tuesday, argues that they do not get along.
The deceased was the daughter of the EFF Deputy President Godrich Gardee and her body was found at a plantation outside Mbombela in 2022.
Nkune is accused of kidnapping and killing Hillary Gardee in 2022 whilst concurrently serving two life sentences for the murder of his partner and her sister in KaNyamazane also in 2022.
