Mchunu, Sibiya pressed Matlala to open case over Rolex watch: Witness – SABC News
The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry has heard how alleged criminal cartel member Vusi “Cat” Matlala was persuaded by Police Minister Senzo Mchunu and General Shadrack Sibiya to open a case over his missing Rolex watch.
Witness C testified that Matlala admitted in a recording that his watch was never stolen to begin with.
He was testifying in a partial camera at the Brigette Mabandla Justice College in Pretoria.
Witness C has concluded his testimony for the day and will be back next Thursday as he is writing exams.
“And with his own mouth, he had indicated that he was persuaded by our General Sibiya and the Minister, Mr. Senzo Mchunu, that he registers a case against the team that raided his house on the 6th of December 2024,” adds Witness C.
