SAPS ballistics expert expected at Madlanga Commission on Monday – SABC News
A forensic ballistics expert from the South African Police Service (SAPS) is scheduled to testify at the Madlanga Commission sitting at the Brigitte Mabandla Justice College in Pretoria on Monday.
The witness will take the stand at 09:30 as the Commission resumes its public hearings, investigating allegations of criminality, political interference and corruption within South Africa’s criminal justice system.
The forensic expert is expected to provide evidence linked to the murder of Vereeniging engineer Armand Swart, believed to be a case of mistaken identity.
This follows last week’s testimony from Witness B, who raised concerns over Deputy Judge President Aubrey Ledwaba’s decision to relax bail conditions for alleged crime-cartel member Katiso ‘KT’ Molefe.
The Commission will continue hearing from witnesses throughout the week.
